Today at church ended Pastor Ricks "Giving" series, and to top it off, we had a wonderful Thanksgiving Dinner together, as a church family. It was a great time to celebrate how much we really do have to be thankful for. Pastor Rick said this morning, that he saw a couple little girls bouncing in, with pony tails swinging, so excited to just be there, and all be together. It was a great representation of the entire feel of the morning. It was wonderfully celebratory, and the food was incredible too. I was so proud of the way everyone brought such wonderful things to share together. We worshiped together with the smells of turkey dinner wafting into the sanctuary. When service was over, the meal began, and it was marvelous! So many great cooks in our church... WOW! It was a real blessing to share the morning and afternoon, together, with our church family! I heard someone say towards the end, "We should do this once a month!" I would have to agree!

Trunk or Treat 2008
Well Trunk or Treat 2008 has come to an end and everyone had a great time. The cars all looked great and I was just so thankful for everyone who participated. We
had some great trunks this year, however Laurie McAdams took the ultimate prize with her jungle/gorilla trunk and won the "Rickie Award." The kids had a great time getting their picture taken with Miss Laurie and claiming their candy out of her banana box. Molly Bassett even had her new puppy "Max" available for pictures with the little ones. Our great kitchen staff kept the chili, and drinks flowing all night, and had a great time doing it. At the end of the night one of the kitchen gals told me "There's no place I would rather be on Halloween." Thanks so much gals! The jump houses in the gym were rockin all night long while parents ate chili and visited together. We think we probably had about 200 people come through and/or participate this year and I want everyone to know that we couldn't do it without your help. Everyone was really great at welcoming our guests and mingling with everyone. I think the best compliment we could get was given when one visiting family said they could really tell this was a place where everyone really loved each other... I'd say our prayers were answered!

Off to Camp!

Well, the kids are off to Mt. Gilead and totally excited! Everything up at camp is all done in this years theme, "Barnyard Fiasco" complete with cow riding bicycles. I know that this week is going to be a week that all the kids will remember forever! Keep them in your prayers as they are gone, camp can be a life changing experience for kids!

Girls of All Ages!

On May 9th we had our annual ladies luncheon, which is for girls of all ages. We had special music by Jessica Fernandez, and Jaylin Hals... both girls did a great job as they sang, "Open the Eyes of My Heart." All the little girls had a great time not only hanging out with eachother, but having a "ladies" lunch with their Moms and other ladies from the church. The girls were all especially excited to see Sharon Kegerreis who was here for a quick visit from Colorado. The girls really are blessed to have so many women in our church who love and care for them!

Egg Hunt or Running of the bulls?

Sunday was a really exciting day here at church. The Lord started our morning out with beautiful weather, and the day just seemed to get better! I was so proud of our church family who donated almost 1400 plastic, candy filled eggs for the kids. There were eggs EVERYWHERE! We had about 60 kids and it was great to see new faces, including faces from our Happy Time families. The little ones had a chance, first, to find their eggs; when we finally released the older kids, I looked up, and it was like the running of the bulls in Barcelona. I wished I had taken a picture of it, however, I was to busy running for cover. The kids had a great time, and most of them got a ton of eggs. (Sorry Parents!) After our hunt we had a great worship service that was filled with the presence of God. He is so GOOD to us! The entire morning was a wonderful time of celebration for our Risen Saviour.
Zach Dehart Takes the Plunge

I was so thrilled to see little Zach take the next step in his walk with Jesus, and choose to be baptized. He had no reservations about telling the entire congregation of 296 people that he wanted to be baptized because he loves Jesus and wants to have Him living in his heart. He walked into that baptism that was deep for him, to the point that he was "floating" when Pastor Joel dunked him, with all the confidence a little 6 year old could have. Way to go Zach!

New Years Eve Game Night 2007
What better way to ring in the New Year than with our church family. As has become tradition with so many of our families, the food people brought was INCREDIBLE, and after all, what's a New Years Eve party without great food. We all laughed, played basketball, played table games, and rang in 2008 together... Looking forward to what God has for us next!
